What is our goal?

Our goal is to design, develop, and flight-test a remotely piloted, air-breathing aircraft weighing less than 25 kg capable of achieving Mach 1. The project aims to push the boundaries of lightweight aircraft design and demonstrate the potential of advanced aerospace engineering at a scale accessible to student-led research and development.

How do we plan on achieving it?

We plan to achieve this goal through an iterative, simulation-driven design process, using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to evaluate aerodynamic performance and guide design optimization. A delta-wing configuration will be investigated for its potential to meet the aerodynamic demands of supersonic flight. Lightweight composite materials, including carbon fibre and fibreglass, will be incorporated to meet the strict mass constraint while maintaining structural integrity. Through the integration of aerodynamic analysis, structural design, materials engineering, and experimental flight testing, we aim to develop a high-performance aircraft while advancing our team's capabilities in supersonic aerospace design.
