This is the legs of the plane. The turbine is what takes in chemical energy (fuel) and converts it into mechanical energy (thrust). There are many ways to convert chemical energy to mechanical energy, whether it be a turbine, turbofan, pulse jet, or ram jet; for our application we believe that a turbine is the most applicable for our application.
